“This new music is by far the most personal thing I’ve ever written. It’s about being a father. It’s about children. It’s about the events happening in our world today. And it’s written for some of the best musicians I’ve ever met. I feel extremely honored to hear them perform my compositions so beautifully.

This is like no other concert I’ve ever been a part of, so I’m thrilled that we’ll be recording it. The audience always plays a huge role on a live recording, but I think that is especially true in this case. Please come join us in bringing this new music to life.”

This new work was commissioned by the Regional Arts and Culture Council, and is produced by the Jazz Society of Oregon.
